West Haven, CT 2nd alarm 86 Gilbert St. dwelling fire

11/01/22 West Haven, CT - Companies from the Allingtown section arrived to find heavy smoke and fire issuing from the top floor, front of a three story, private dwelling. Companies went to work stretching multiple lines to the top floor. Truck 22 initiated topside ventilation. A second alarm was transmitted shortly after arrival bringing additional companies to the scene. The fire took about forty five minutes to bring under control. Several people were left homeless. The fire marshal's office is investigating the cause.
