West Haven 2nd alarm 255 Campbell Ave. dwelling fire

03/19/21 West Haven, CT - West Haven firefighters were dispatched for a report of smoke coming from the dwelling. Multiple sources reported the address 255 Campbell Ave. First due companies found heavy smoke showing from a two and half story residential over commercial. Multiple hand lines were stretched as heavy fire vented from the second floor. The fire extended the into the attic prompting a second alarm to be transmitted. The fire was brought under control in about an hour. The dwelling was occupied at the time of the fire. The cause is being investigated by the marshals office.
