West Haven 2nd alarm 149 First Ave dwelling fire

09/26/22 West Haven, CT - Firefighters arrived to find nothing visible with reports of a basement fire. with a person trapped. Companies found smoke in the basement prompting a second alarm to be transmitted. Two lines were stretched and operated with a quick knockdown. Truck companies reported no extension and the fire was quickly brought under control. One woman was injured with burns to the extremities and transported to the hospital. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
