West Haven 233 Washington Ave 3rd floor

11/05/14 West Haven, CT - firefighters responded to 233 Washington Ave and found smoke showing from the third floor of this three story, wood frame. An aggressive attack kept the fire to the room of origin. Two lines were stretched, Truck 22 opened up with topside ventilation and searches proved negative. All occupants of the dwelling made it out prior to the fire departments arrival. The third floor of the home sustained smoke and fire damage and the occupants were forced to seek shelter elsewhere. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
