Newark, NJ 2nd alarm 96 Sussex St. dwelling fire
07/05/21 Newark, NJ - Companies arrived to find several autos on fire exposing to the number two side of an occupied dwelling. The first due engine took a bad hydrant, causing a slight delay in water on the fire. Heavy fire extended into all three floors of the dwelling, prompting a second alarm to be transmitted by the deputy. Firefighters were also hampered by burning and arching electrical wires near the front of the dwelling. The fire took about an hour to bring under control.
