East Haven plane crash 64 Charter Oak Avenue

08/09/13 East Haven, Ct - A double engine plane crashed into two occupied houses around 11:30 am this morning killing two children, the pilot and a passenger. The pilot, on the way from New Jersey, apparently missed the first landing due to rain and fog in the area. The plane crashed on the second landing attempt into this neighborhood located on Charter Oak Avenue. The street is about one mile from Tweed New Haven Airport. The NTSB is investigating the cause of the crash.
