New Haven 386 Front St. EDP in the water.
8/11/15 New Haven, CT - New Haven Fire and Police were notified of a swimmer in distress shortly after 2 p.m this afternoon. Members from New Haven Fire, Engine 10 got a visual on the male, who was a few hundred feet out in the Quinnipiac River being carried by the currents. Members commandered a civilian boat along with Marine 1 to reach the man. It was then realized that this was an EDP situation when he refused help. PD was placed on the boat to apprehend the individual who then swam to shore where he was arrested by New Haven PD officer.
