New Haven 2nd alarm 39 Fairfield St dwelling fire

09/16/15 New Haven, CT - The fire was reported as a back porch on fire. Engine 15 arrived to find a two and half story wood frame with fire showing from the rear, which quickly extended up the exterior wall and into the attic. Companies had some initial water problems, prompting a second alarm to be transmitted. Truck Four members opened the roof and interior crews opened the walls and ceiling to bring the fire under control. No one was injured, multiple people were displaced and the cause is under investigation.
