New Haven 2nd Alarm 858 State Street

01/14/12 New Haven, CT - New Haven Firefighters chase a stubborn fire throughout this two story structure for more than an hour before bringing the blaze under control. They were hampered by many years of updates to the building. A second alarm was quickly transmitted bringing additional resources to fight the fire. Firefighters were removed from the structure in favor of a defensive attack due to the heavy fire and smoke conditions. The fire is believed to have started in the first floor near the pizza oven.
