New Haven 112 Maple St dwelling fire

05/19/17 New Haven, CT - Firefighters from the west side responded to this fire in an occupied, multiple dwelling. 1st due Engine 9 arrived to find a heavy fire on the second floor, front porch. The fire rapidly extended to the third floor and attic of the dwelling. Firefighters made an interior attack on two floors coordinated with the trucks opening up. The fire took about a half hour to bring under control. No civilians were injured, but one firefighter was transported for observation. The fire appeared to have to started on the second floor porch.
