New Haven 112 Ellsworth Ave dwelling fire

03/03/18 New Haven, CT - Firefighters didn't have to go far for this dwelling fire. They received a verbal for the fire at their station across the street. Companies turned out with heavy fire venting from the first floor, number one side with extension to the number four side exposure. Members removed several people from rear of the dwelling on fire. Companies made the interior attack and quickly knocked down the fire. An additional engine and truck were special called to deal with the fire in the attic of the similar exposure. Both dwellings were occupied at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
