Detroit St. Aubin and Medbury

10/30/08 Detroit, MI - 2154hrs Engine 23 reported heavy they were stretching on a dwelling going throughout. Heavy fire conditions tore through this vacant 2.5 frame. This house was the last one standing on the block. Ironically, about 20 minutes into the fire, firefighters attempted to make entry into the structure by forcing the front door and a pitbull came running from the house. Firefighters doused the dog with water who then proceeded to shake off and happily jump on everyone on the fireground. A true Detroit dog.
