Bridgeport 47 Eric St. dwelling fire
03/12/17 Bridgeport, CT - As temperatures hovered around the single digits, north end companies were dispatched for a structure fire at 47 Eric St. The fire occurred as firefighters were preparing for shift change across the city.
Companies reported that they could see the smoke and prepared to go to work.
Truck 10 arrived and reported a one and a half story, wood frame occupied with heavy fire out the rear. Five hand lines were stretched and operated as the trucks searched and opened up. The primary and secondary searches proved negative as the fire took a half hour to bring under control.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Several family members were displaced.
