Bridgeport 385 Platt St. EDP arson attempt

06/15/16 Bridgeport, CT - An 18 yo EDP set her bed on fire on the second floor of this one and a half story, wood frame. Medics from AMR were already on scene when the arson attempt occurred and were able to remove the EDP from the dwelling prior to the first engines arrival. Companies found a room and contents fire upon their arrival. Two lines were stretched and one operated for a quick knockdown. All searches proved negative as well as extensions. The fire marshal's office is handling the case. No one was injured. The EDP was transported for an evaluation.
