Bridgeport 2nd alarm 370 Olive St. dwelling fire
05/30/21 Bridgeport, CT - Multiple calls were received and companies reported they could see it as they responded. First due companies reported heavy fire in the rear of a four story, private dwelling. A second alarm was transmitted immediately due to the fire conditions and the number of occupants in the dwelling. Five lines were stretched throughout the dwelling as the fire rapidly extended throughout the structure. The rescue reported that searches were negative and conditions were worsening. This prompted an evacuation of the structure and a defensive operation to commence. One tower ladder, deck guns and a multiversal were used to bring the fire under control in about an hour. No one was injured in the blaze. The cause is speculated as a gas grill on the back porch.
