2nd alarm Bridgeport, CT 64-66 Garfield Ave dwelling fire

02/03/19 Bridgeport, CT - All hands went to work on arrival for a three story, private dwelling with heavy fire on the second and third floors. First due Engine 12 stretched and had water issues when their hoseline burnt through causing a lose of water and the nozzle to firefighter to receive burns to his upper body. This prompted a second alarm to be transmitted by order of battalion Chief MacNichols. Additional lines were stretched as trucks moved in to open up and search. The fire communicated to the third floor before being knocked down and brought under control. One civilian was taken to the hospitable with smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
